The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi’s light novel series, Secrets of the Silent Witch (also known as Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto), has unveiled its first three minutes of footage, introduced a new cast member, and provided details about its opening theme song. The series is set to premiere on July 4, 2025, in Japan.
First Three Minutes of Footage Released
Aniplex recently released the initial three minutes of the anime’s first episode during a livestream event. This sneak peek features the protagonist, Monica Everett, interacting with Annie, and includes a surprise from Louis. The preview offers a glimpse into the animation style by Studio Gokumi and the overall tone of the series, which is based on the story of Monica Everett, an extremely shy witch who developed “voiceless magic” to avoid public speaking. Despite her powerful abilities, she is tasked with a secret mission to guard the Second Prince, Felix Arc Ridill, at Serendia Academy.
New Cast Member Announced
Voice actress Ai Kayano has joined the cast of Secrets of the Silent Witch to portray the character Claudia. Claudia is described as a “walking library.” She joins a previously announced cast that includes Saya Aizawa as Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton, Shogo Sakata as Felix Arc Ridill, Kanna Nakamura as Lana Colette, Yoshiki Nakajima as Cyril Ashley, Ryōhei Kimura as Elliott Howard, Yuki Sakakihara as Neil Clay Maywood, Yōko Hikasa as Bridget Greyham, and M.A.O as Rynzbelfeid.
Opening Theme Song Information
The opening theme song for Secrets of the Silent Witch is titled “Feel” and is performed by the alternative rock band hitsujibungaku. The song is scheduled to be available for streaming in Japan starting July 4, 2025. hitsujibungaku is also performing the ending theme song, “mild days”. The anime’s music is composed by Cygames and Rina Tayama.
The anime is directed by Yasuo Iwamoto, with Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director, screenwriter, and script supervisor. Cona Nitanda is responsible for character designs. The series will air on channels such as Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11 in Japan, and Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide.
