About ‘Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You’
The anime is based on Haruka Mitsui’s shojo manga, Dōse, Koishite Shimaunda., which began serialization in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi in November 2020. The story revolves around Mizuha, a high school student navigating a complex web of friendships and budding romance amidst the backdrop of her everyday life. The first season covered Mizuha’s 17th birthday and the sudden romantic confession from her childhood friend, Kizuki. The manga has been collected into 12 tankōbon volumes as of August 2025. The announcement of a second season has been well-received by fans, especially given that shojo series rarely receive multiple seasons.
