The highly anticipated second season of the romantic anime “Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You” (Dōse, Koishite Shimaunda.) is set to premiere on January 9, 2026, and fans are getting an early taste of the musical landscape with the reveal of its opening theme song. Girl idol group ME:I will perform the opening song titled “L to R,” while the band berry meet will handle the ending theme, “Hatsukoi” (First Love).
Crunchyroll has confirmed it will simulcast the second season across numerous territories, including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, India, and Southeast Asia, making it widely accessible to international viewers.
ME:I Takes the Lead with “L to R”
The announcement of ME:I performing the opening theme “L to R” has generated significant excitement. MIU of ME:I described the song’s lyrics as distinctive, comparing the feeling of falling in love to the “L and R” of earphones. The melody is designed to be emotional and easy to hum, promising a memorable introduction to each episode. This marks a new musical direction for the series, as the first season featured “Make it Count” by INI as its opening theme.
ME:I, a popular J-pop idol group formed from “Produce 101 Japan The Girls,” is known for its energetic performances, and their contribution is expected to inject a vibrant and heart-pounding energy into the new season.
Berry Meet Delivers the Emotional Ending with “Hatsukoi”
Complementing ME:I’s energetic opening, berry meet will perform the ending theme, “Hatsukoi”. The choice of a rock band for the ending theme suggests a more introspective and heartfelt tone to conclude each episode, providing a powerful and emotional counterpoint to the opening. The first season‘s ending theme was “Negaigoto” by Marcy.
Returning Staff and Story Overview
The second season will see the return of key creative staff from the first season, with Junichi Yamamoto directing the series at Typhoon Graphics. Yū Murai is also returning to oversee the series scripts, ensuring continuity in the narrative and artistic vision.
