The upcoming original TV anime, Apocalypse Hotel, has unveiled a wealth of new information, including its main cast, key staff members, and official premiere date. Set to debut in April 2025, this post-apocalyptic series is generating significant buzz among anime enthusiasts.

Key Visual and Trailer Released

Accompanying the announcement was a new key visual and trailer. The visual showcases the main character, Yachiyo, a hospitality robot, in a serene yet desolate setting, hinting at the series’ unique atmosphere. The trailer offers a glimpse into the animation style and previews the ending theme song, “Capsule,” performed by aiko.

Voice Cast and Main Character

The lead role of Yachiyo will be voiced by Saho Shirasu, known for her role as Mio Kofune in Summer Time Rendering. Shirasu expressed her enthusiasm for the role, noting that she was immediately drawn to the character and the story’s mysteries. Yachiyo is a robot working in a hotel after humanity has vanished, making her a central figure in this original story.

Comment From Saho Shirasu

“From the moment I first read the audition material, I sincerely hoped to be selected, so I was truly thrilled when I found out I got the role! Yachiyo is a hospitality robot working in a hotel after humanity has vanished. Since this is an original project with no existing source material, I was excited to see how the story would unfold each week as I received the scripts. This work is full of mysteries, and I encourage you to follow along and enjoy the broadcast as we unveil more about this fascinating story.”

Staff Announcement

The Apocalypse Hotel anime is being brought to life by a talented team. Kana Shundo, who previously directed episodes of Luminous Witches, is at the helm as the director. The series composition is handled by Shigeru Murakoshi, known for his work on ZOMBIE LAND SAGA. Character designs are being crafted by Natsuki Yokoyama (Attack on Titan Final Season costume design), based on original designs by Izumi Takemoto, the creator of Akaneko no Akuma.

Production Details

The animation production is being handled by CygamesPictures, with CyberAgent producing. The opening theme song will be “skirt,” also performed by aiko. The ending theme, as mentioned, is “Capsule” also by aiko, and it’s featured in the newly released trailer.

Setting and Premise

Apocalypse Hotel takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth where humanity has perished, and civilization has collapsed. Despite the devastation, a historic hotel in Ginza remains standing. The story unfolds within the walls of this hotel, where human beings are no longer present. The series explores the mysteries of this setting, with a focus on the robot Yachiyo, who is still running the hotel.

The Premise of “Apocalypse Hotel”

The concept of Apocalypse Hotel is intriguing. The series is set on an Earth where humanity has vanished, leaving behind ruins and a resurgence of nature. The historic hotel in Ginza stands as a silent witness to this desolation. The narrative follows the story in this unique environment where humanity no longer exists. The juxtaposition of the sterile, well-maintained hotel with the wild, overgrown world outside creates a compelling atmosphere.

April 2025 Premiere

The Apocalypse Hotel anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2025 on Nippon TV, with a specific date yet to be announced. This series is a highly anticipated addition to the 2025 anime lineup, promising a fresh and engaging narrative. Fans are keenly awaiting its release to uncover the mysteries and unique story that Apocalypse Hotel has to offer.

Original Series

The series is an original anime, meaning it isn’t based on a manga or light novel. This gives the creative team complete freedom in crafting the story, adding to the anticipation surrounding the series. With the combination of a unique premise, talented staff, and a compelling main character, Apocalypse Hotel is poised to become a notable anime of 2025.

The unveiling of the cast, staff, and premiere date of Apocalypse Hotel has solidified its position as a highly anticipated anime for the coming year. The series promises to offer a unique viewing experience with its post-apocalyptic setting and original story.
