The upcoming anime film, “Gekijōban Ansatsu Kyōshitsu Minna no Jikan” (Assassination Classroom The Movie: Everybody’s Time), has officially announced five additional cast members joining its roster. These new voice actors will portray characters making their debut in the franchise, further expanding the world of Kunugigaoka Junior High’s Class 3-E. The film is set to open in Japan on March 20, 2026.
Expanding the Voice Cast for “Everybody’s Time”
The newly revealed cast members are Yūichirō Umehara as Seeker, Kappei Yamaguchi as Futoshi, Tetsu Inada as Sengoku, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Mario, and Hiroki Tōchi as Chantha. These five join previously announced new cast members, bringing fresh voices to the highly anticipated movie.
Previously Announced New Voices
Earlier revelations introduced a quartet of new talents: Kikuko Inoue as Azusa, Sayumi Suzushiro as Kaho Tsuchiya, and Mai Kanazawa as Kokona Tagawa. Notably, Mai Fuchigami, who is well-known for her role as Nagisa Shiota in the series, will also be lending her voice to a second character, Hotaru, a young woman who bears a striking resemblance to Nagisa. Azusa is characterized as the owner of an izakaya, who, along with her daughter Hotaru, finds herself in need of Koro-sensei’s unique assistance. Kaho Tsuchiya is identified as the ex-girlfriend of Yūma Isogai, and Kokona Tagawa as a former classmate of Meg Kataoka.
Returning Talent and Production Details
The film will see the return of the beloved cast members from the previous television anime series, reprising their iconic roles. Masaki Kitamura, known for his work on “After-School Hanako-kun,” is directing the film at Studio Lerche. Makoto Uezu, who penned the scripts for the original anime, returns to write the screenplay, while Aya Higami is handling character designs.
A Continuation of the Main Story
“Assassination Classroom The Movie: Everybody’s Time” is not merely a 10th-anniversary project; it is also intended as a continuation of the main story, according to original manga author Yūsei Matsui. The film will incorporate a collection of episodes from the manga that were previously unadapted due to time constraints in the television anime series. This marks the first new animated installment in a decade since the conclusion of the second season in 2016.
Background of “Assassination Classroom”
Yūsei Matsui’s “Assassination Classroom” manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2016, achieving total sales exceeding 27 million copies. The manga inspired a 22-episode television anime series in 2015, followed by a 25-episode second season in 2016. An earlier anime film, “Assassination Classroom the Movie: 365 Days,” premiered in Japan in November 2016. Additionally, the franchise also spawned two live-action films, released in March 2015 and March 2016, respectively.
