The horror suspense manga Bokura no Natsu ga Saketeiku (Our Summer was Torn Apart), created by writer Arata Miyatsuki and artist Kentarō Satō, is set to conclude in just two more chapters. The announcement came in this year’s 15th issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine.
A Remote Island Tale of Suspense and Horror
Bokura no Natsu ga Saketeiku is a remote island suspense horror story. The narrative centers on Itsuki, a young man who returns to his hometown on Sengetsu Island after his younger sister, Mayu, suffers a serious injury. His return is met with an unsettling atmosphere due to the island’s unusually strict COVID-19 measures, which bizarrely mandate mask-wearing even while eating. The eerie circumstances escalate when Itsuki encounters a mysterious “something” near his home one night, prompting him to uncover the truth behind the island’s extreme pandemic protocols.
