Two-Part Cinema Screenings Announced

In a unique move, the Bullet/Bullet anime will be reconstructed into two parts for a nationwide cinema screening in Japan. Sunghoo Park’s Vision

Sunghoo Park has been developing the story for Bullet/Bullet for a decade. He hopes viewers will follow Gear’s journey of growth and enjoy the music, voice acting, and car action scenes.

A Detailed Look at the Characters

Bullet/Bullet features a diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique quirks and motivations. Let’s take a closer look at some of the main players:

Gear

Gear is a young man working at a junk shop and described as a thief who retrieves unjustly stolen items. He is voiced by Marina Inoue.

Shirokuma

Shirokuma, voiced by Kazuhiro Yamaji, is a polar bear with a gambling addiction. He runs the “Theft Business” with Gear and the robot Qu-0213.

Qu-0213

Qu-0213 is a robot with four personalities, all voiced by different voice actors:

  • Nosa-ane: Voiced by Rie Kugimiya, she treats Gear like a brother.
  • Naka-ani: Voiced by Tomokazu Seki, this personality is laidback.
  • Kau-ane: Voiced by Kana Hanazawa, she is Nosa’s twin sister.
  • Ei-baba: Voiced by Ai Orikasa.

A Post-Apocalyptic World: Setting and Themes

The anime’s setting in a post-apocalyptic wasteland is more than just a backdrop; it deeply influences the narrative and themes explored in Bullet/Bullet.

Wasteland Setting

The world of Bullet/Bullet is a far cry from modern civilization, it’s a world of scarcity, where resources are limited, and survival is a daily struggle. The remnants of the old world serve as constant reminders of what was lost, while also providing the materials needed to persevere.

Themes of Survival and Adaptation

In such a harsh environment, the characters must constantly adapt and find new ways to survive. This theme of adaptation is central to Gear, Shirokuma, and Qu-0213, who have formed an unconventional family and business to make their way in the wasteland.

Morality in a Lawless World

The absence of a strong governing force raises questions about morality and justice. With Gear, Shirokuma, and Qu-0213 operating as thieves who return stolen items, the series will likely explore the complexities of right and wrong in a world where traditional laws no longer apply.

Anticipation Builds for Bullet/Bullet

With its unique premise, talented director, and exciting promotional video, Bullet/Bullet is generating considerable buzz among anime fans. The combination of a post-apocalyptic setting, intriguing characters, and high-octane action promises a thrilling viewing experience. The addition of a theme song by Chanmina and a two-part cinema screening further enhances the anticipation for this original anime series. As the premiere date approaches, fans eagerly await the chance to immerse themselves in the world of Bullet/Bullet and witness the adventures of Gear and his unconventional companions.
