Production Details

The “mono” anime is directed by Ryota Aikei (assistant director on Jujutsu Kaisen) at studio Soigne. Yoko Yonaiyama (A Sign of Affection) is in charge of series composition, while Takuya Miyahara (Umamusume: Cinderella Gray) handles character designs. The music is composed by Hajime Hyakkoku (NEW GAME!).

Story

Satsuki Amamiya is feeling down due to the graduation of the high school Photography Club’s president. However, her best friend and fellow member An Kiriyama encourages Satsuki to dedicate herself to the newly merged Cinephoto Club. Join Satsuki and An as they set out to track down a missing camera, meet new faces, and capture stunning photos and videos along the way.

Manga

The “mono” manga was first serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Miracle! magazine in May 2017. It was later transferred to Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in December 2017. As of April 2024, the series’ chapters have been collected into four tankōbon volumes. Yen Press is releasing an English version of the manga, with the first volume scheduled for release in November 2024.

Anime

The “mono” anime premiered on April 12, 2025, on Tokyo MX and other networks in Japan. The opening theme song is “Many Merry Memories!” performed by Cinephoto-bu (Haruna Mikawa, Aoi Koga, and Hikaru Tono), while the ending theme song is “Weekend Roll” performed by Halca.

The series is animated by Soigne, marking the studio’s debut in the anime industry. The anime has been receiving positive feedback worldwide. The Blu-ray release has confirmed that it will consist of 12 episodes and run for three months.
