The highly anticipated second season of the “Chained Soldier” (Mato Seihei no Slave) anime is officially set to premiere on January 8, with the latest announcement also revealing a slate of new cast members joining the battle against the Yomotsu Shuuki. The series will air on Tokyo MX, BS Asahi, MBS, and AT-X.
The official X/Twitter account for the anime adaptation of Takahiro and Yōhei Takemura’s popular manga unveiled the premiere date and the expanded voice cast, building excitement for the continuation of Yuuki Wakura’s journey as a “slave” to the formidable women of the Anti-Demon Corps.
New and Returning Cast Bolster the Ranks
Several prominent voice actors have been added to the “Chained Soldier” Season 2 roster, bringing to life key characters within the Demon Defense Force. Fans can look forward to hearing these new voices:
- Kana Ichinose as Konomi Tatara
- Fairouz Ai as Mira Kamiunten
- Manaka Iwami as Bell Tsukiyono
- Fūka Izumi as Yakumo Ezo
- Maaya Uchida as Tenka Izumo
- Yukana as Fubuki Azuma
- Kana Hanazawa as Ren Yamashiro, the Chief of the Anti-Demon Corps’ 10th Unit and Head Commander of the entire organization. Her character design was previously revealed at Jump Festa ’25.
Akari Kitō is also confirmed to return as Kyōka Uzen. Other returning cast members include Yuya Hirose as Yuuki Wakura, Yume Miyamoto as Himari Azuma, Mari Hino as Shushu Suruga, and Hina Tachibana as Nei Okawamura.
January 2026 Premiere and Broadcast Details
The second season of “Chained Soldier” will officially begin its broadcast in January 2026. While some reports initially hinted at a general January 2026 window, the specific date of January 8 has now been confirmed across multiple networks including Tokyo MX, BS Asahi, MBS, and AT-X. The first season of the anime aired from January to March 2024.
Production Shifts and Creative Team
Season 2 sees a change in animation studios and key staff members. While Seven Arcs animated the first season, animation production for the second season will be handled by Passione and Hayabusa Film.
The new key staff for “Chained Soldier” Season 2 includes:

Story So Far and What to Expect
The “Chained Soldier” manga, written by Takahiro and illustrated by Yohei Takemura, has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ online platform since January 2019. Yen Press publishes the manga in English.
The story revolves around Yuuki Wakura, a young man who finds himself intertwined with the Anti-Demon Corps, an elite group of women with superpowers derived from “peaches” grown in the dangerous alternate dimension known as Mato. Yuuki becomes the “slave” and combat partner to Kyouka Uzen, the beautiful commander of the 7th squad. Season 2 is expected to continue their adventures as they combat the monstrous Yomotsu Shuuki and delve deeper into the mysteries of the Mato and the Anti-Demon Corps. The first trailer for Season 2, released in September 2025, showcased various commanders of the Demon Defense Force and hinted at exciting action sequences.
