The song was digitally released on September 15, 2025, and later physically on September 24, 2025, as a double A-side maxi single alongside “Jane Doe,” the closing theme song which features Hikaru Utada. “Iris Out” has already achieved significant global success, reaching the Top 5 on the Billboard Global 200 chart and setting a new record for the highest-charting Japanese-language song.

“Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” is a direct sequel to the first season of the anime television series, produced by MAPPA.
