A portion of “Iris Out” was featured in a new trailer during Anime Expo 2025, confirming Yonezu’s involvement. The song was digitally released on September 15, 2025, and later physically on September 24, 2025, as a double A-side maxi single alongside “Jane Doe,” the closing theme song which features Hikaru Utada. “Iris Out” has already achieved significant global success, reaching the Top 5 on the Billboard Global 200 chart and setting a new record for the highest-charting Japanese-language song.
The “Reze Arc” on the Big Screen
“Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” is a direct sequel to the first season of the anime television series, produced by MAPPA. Tatsuya Yoshihara, who served as action director and directed episodes for the first season, takes the helm as the film’s director, with Hiroshi Seko returning as the writer. Crunchyroll also made “Chainsaw Man – The Compilation” available in September, consisting of two feature-length recap films to prepare viewers for the “Reze Arc” movie.
