Champignon Witch: A Tale of a Solitary Enchantress
The “Champignon Witch” story centers on Luna, a kind-hearted yet feared witch who resides deep within a black forest in a house made of poisonous mushrooms. Her touch and even her breath cause poisonous mushrooms to sprout, leading the townspeople to label her the “Champignon Witch” and keep their distance. Despite her solitary existence, Luna ventures into town to sell her highly praised “miracle cure” potions. The narrative explores her journey and a miraculous encounter that awaits her, a witch who has never known human warmth. The manga, Champignon no Majo, has been serialized on Hakusensha’s Manga Park website since October 2019, with six volumes released as of December 2024.
