The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Chinjao Musume and Tama Nogami’s manga, “Chuhai Lips: Canned Flavor of Married Women” (also known as “Hitozuma no Kuchibiru wa Kan Chūhai no Aji ga Shite”), is set to premiere in July 2025. Recent updates from WWWave Corporation include a new key visual and a character video, offering fans a closer look at the series.
New Character Video and Visuals
WWWave Corporation has started releasing new character trailers every Friday to build anticipation for the anime. The series also revealed a new key visual featuring the central characters, Tsuyoshi and Yui Koriyama. The visual primarily focuses on Koriyama, while Tsuyoshi is seen on the side of a chuhai can that she is holding. Several other cans, presumably alcoholic beverages, surround the pair.

Production Details
WWWave’s Deregula label is producing “Chuhai Lips: Canned Flavor of Married Women”. This is the label’s second anime project, following “Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World!”. Deregula is known for releasing uncensored versions of anime, which are streamed rather than broadcast on TV networks in Japan. HIDIVE is currently streaming “Yandere Dark Elf” in the west with a “least censored” version.
About the Manga
The original manga, written by Chinjao Musume and illustrated by Tama Nogami, has been serialized on Kodansha’s YanMaga Web website since February 2021. Kodansha began publishing the “luxurious full-color strong edition” of the manga’s compiled book volumes in June 2024 and released the third volume on November 20, 2024.
The manga centers on Tsuyoshi, a college student with a fondness for strong canned chuhai. The story follows his encounters with various married women. Chūhai is a Japanese drink typically made from shōchū (a Japanese distilled spirit) and carbonated water, though the term generally refers to any drink mixed with shōchū and a non-alcoholic mixer.
