The Blu-ray Disc set for the popular anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is scheduled to ship on October 28. This release comes after Aniplex of America’s announcement during Anime Expo 2025 that the complete Blu-ray disc set would be available in North America on this date. Pre-orders for the set are slated to open on August 26.
International Release Details and Special Features
Beyond North America, Aniplex of America also plans to release the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Blu-ray disc set in Latin America in 2025. Meanwhile, Anime Limited and Plaion Pictures are set to release the series in Europe this year, and Sugoi Co will handle the Blu-ray Disc release in Australia and New Zealand in 2025. Details regarding pricing and various editions for these regions are expected to be announced at a later date. The Japanese Blu-ray release, which includes audio in Japanese and English, along with subtitles in multiple languages including Japanese, English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese, was made available on May 28.
The limited edition of the North American Blu-ray set will feature a new jacket illustration, a special booklet, a book containing the storyboard for episode 10, a two-year anniversary visual poster, and a cel-style sheet.
Background of the Anime Series
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an anime series produced by Studio Trigger and is based on CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 game. The show first debuted on Netflix in September 2022 and quickly gained international acclaim, securing various awards including Anime of the Year at the Anime Awards 2023. The standalone ten-episode series tells the story of David Martinez, a street kid navigating Night City, a metropolis obsessed with technology and body modification.
In addition to the Blu-ray release, a prequel manga titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness, focusing on fan-favorite characters Rebecca and her brother Pilar, has been adapted from the series. The manga began its serialized release in December, with the English edition to be published in paperback volumes by Dark Horse Comics.
