The highly anticipated first film in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle trilogy has unveiled its new trailer, confirming that renowned artists Aimer and LiSA will contribute the theme songs. This announcement, made following a special broadcast of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train on Fuji TV in Japan on June 28, 2025, has sent excitement through the fanbase.

Iconic Voices Return for Final Saga

Both Aimer and LiSA are celebrated for their powerful contributions to the Demon Slayer franchise, making their involvement in the concluding Infinity Castle arc particularly significant. LiSA, whose explosive “Gurenge” became a cultural phenomenon as the opening theme for the first season, also performed “Homura” for the Mugen Train film, and “Akeboshi” and “Shirogane” for the Mugen Train Arc television series. Aimer marked her indelible presence with “Zankyosanka” and “Asa ga Kuru” for the Entertainment District Arc. Their return underscores the monumental nature of this final cinematic adaptation.

For the Infinity Castle trilogy’s first installment, Aimer is set to perform “Taiyō ga Noboranai Sekai” (“A World Where the Sun Never Rises”), while LiSA will contribute “Zankoku no Yoru ni Kagayake” (“Shine in the Cruel Night”). Fans globally can anticipate the release of both songs on streaming platforms starting July 18, 2025.

The Infinity Castle Arc: A Climactic Battle

The Infinity Castle arc marks the grand finale of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba saga, depicting the ultimate showdown between the Demon Slayer Corps and the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji. The story plunges the Demon Slayers into the eponymous Infinity Castle, a bizarre, extra-dimensional fortress controlled by the Biwa Demon Nakime, where gravity is warped and space defies logic.

Within this treacherous environment, the Demon Slayers are scattered and forced into brutal, individual battles against Muzan’s most powerful Upper Rank demons. Key encounters include Tanjiro’s confrontation with Akaza, the demon responsible for Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku’s death, and intense battles involving Shinobu, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the remaining Hashira against formidable foes like Doma and Kokushibo. The trilogy is expected to adapt the intense final battles of Koyoharu Gotouge’s original manga with ufotable’s signature high-quality animation, promising an unprecedented cinematic experience.

Global Release and Production Details

The first film in the trilogy, officially titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle – Akaza Sairai (The Return of Akaza), is slated for release in Japan on July 18, 2025. International audiences will see a staggered release, with North America (United States and Canada) screenings beginning September 12, 2025. Other international territories will follow suit, with releases starting from August 12, 2025, in places like Thailand, and extending through September across various regions.

The film is directed by Haruo Sotozaki, with ufotable once again handling the animation and screenplay. Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina are credited for the music, ensuring the cinematic quality that fans have come to expect from the franchise. The anticipation for this trilogy is immense, as it promises to deliver the ultimate conclusion to Tanjiro Kamado’s harrowing journey.
