The highly anticipated first film in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle trilogy has officially revealed its theme song artists: Aimer and LiSA. The announcement came alongside a new main trailer, building excitement for the movie’s theatrical release, beginning in Japan on July 18, 2025.
A New Cinematic Chapter Begins
The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle movie marks the beginning of a three-part film series that will adapt the climactic final arc of Koyoharu Gotouge’s hugely popular manga, encompassing both the Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown arcs. Unlike previous compilation films for the Swordsmith Village and Hashira Training arcs, this adaptation will be a feature-length film, mirroring the approach taken with the successful Mugen Train movie.
The narrative picks up after the events of the Hashira Training Arc, with Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King, appearing at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. Tanjiro Kamado and the Hashira are thrust into the mysterious, multi-dimensional Infinity Castle, Muzan’s stronghold, setting the stage for the final, decisive battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons. This otherworldly castle, with its endless rooms and distorted gravity, is controlled by the demon Nakime. Expect intense confrontations, including Tanjiro and Giyu Tomioka facing Akaza, Shinobu battling the demon who killed her sister, and Zenitsu confronting Kaigaku.
Iconic Voices Return
Both Aimer and LiSA are celebrated artists within the Demon Slayer franchise, having previously contributed impactful theme songs to the anime series and films. LiSA, known for her powerful vocals, has been a central figure since the first season, performing the iconic opening theme “Gurenge” and the ending theme “From the Edge.” She also delivered “Homura” for the Mugen Train film and “Akeboshi” and “Shirogane” for the Mugen Train Arc TV adaptation. Aimer made her debut in the franchise with the opening theme “Zankyou Sanka” and ending theme “Asa ga Kuru” for the Entertainment District Arc.
For the first Infinity Castle film, Aimer will perform the theme song titled “A World Where the Sun Never Rises” (Taiyō ga Noboranai Sekai). LiSA will contribute the theme song “Shine in the Cruel Night” (Zankoku no Yoru ni Kagayake). Both new songs are slated for digital release on global streaming platforms on July 18, 2025, coinciding with the film’s Japanese premiere.
