The highly anticipated first film in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle trilogy has released its full trailer, confirming that acclaimed artists Aimer and LiSA will contribute the theme songs. This revelation has ignited further excitement among fans as the cinematic adaptation of the manga’s climactic arc draws closer.

The new trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle – Akaza Sairai (The Return of Akaza), which aired after a re-broadcast of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train in Japan, showcases new footage from the upcoming movie and features snippets of the new tracks. Aimer is performing the song “A World Where the Sun Never Rises” (“Taiyō ga Noboranai Sekai”), while LiSA is performing “Shine in the Cruel Night” (“Zankoku no Yoru ni Kagayake”). Both songs are scheduled to be available on global streaming platforms on July 18, 2025, coinciding with the film’s Japanese premiere.

The Dawn of the Infinity Castle Trilogy

The Infinity Castle film marks the beginning of a three-part movie saga that will adapt the final, pivotal arc of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga. Unlike previous compilation films, the Infinity Castle movies are designed as feature-length adaptations to fully capture the dramatic pacing and extensive content of this crucial storyline. The first film is set to delve into Muzan Kibutsuji’s surprise assault on the Ubuyashiki mansion, thrusting Tanjiro and the Hashira into the surreal and dangerous battleground of the Infinity Castle, which serves as the demons’ stronghold. This setup promises the final, long-awaited battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan Kibutsuji.

Haruo Sotozaki returns as the director, with ufotable once again handling the animation, ensuring the visually stunning quality that fans have come to expect from the franchise. The studio is also credited for the screenplay.

Global Release and Previous Contributions

The first Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle film is slated for its theatrical release in Japan on Friday, July 18, 2025. International audiences will not have long to wait, with a global rollout beginning on August 12 in Southeast Asia and expanding to over 70 countries. Fans in the United Kingdom, Indonesia, and the Philippines can expect earlier releases in August, while those in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, UAE, India, and South Africa will see the film premiere on September 11 or 12, 2025. The film will be available in both Japanese with subtitles and English-dubbed versions.

Both Aimer and LiSA are deeply embedded in the Demon Slayer legacy, having contributed iconic theme songs to previous installments. LiSA has been a cornerstone of the franchise, performing the first season’s opening theme “Gurenge” and the award-winning theme “Homura” for Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. She also delivered “Akeboshi” and “Shirogane” for the Mugen Train Arc TV adaptation. Aimer made her debut in the franchise with the opening theme “Zankyou Sanka” and ending theme “Asa ga Kuru” for the Entertainment District Arc. Their return for the Infinity Castle trilogy further solidifies their connection to the series and adds another layer of anticipation for the film’s soundtrack.
