Disney Twisted-Wonderland Anime Series Details
The Disney Twisted-Wonderland anime adaptation, first announced in 2021, is based on the popular “villains academy adventure” mobile game developed by f4samurai and published by Aniplex and Walt Disney Japan. The game, which features character designs and a scenario by Black Butler creator Yana Toboso, launched in Japan in 2020 and globally in 2022.
The anime is scheduled for a three-season run, with the first season, titled “Episode of Heartslabyul,” focusing on the characters inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Subsequent seasons will cover the “Episode of Savanaclaw” and “Episode of Octavinelle,” drawing inspiration from The Lion King and The Little Mermaid, respectively. The series will exclusively stream on Disney+ starting October 29.
