The highly anticipated second part of Dr. Stone: Science Future, the fourth and final season of the Dr. Stone anime, is generating excitement among fans. With a premiere set for July 10, 2025, the series is gearing up to introduce new characters and continue Senku’s ambitious journey to reach the moon and solve the mystery of the petrification phenomenon. The newest season is split into three cours (sections), and the first cour aired from January 9 to March 27, 2025.
The Adventure Continues: What to Expect in Science Future Part 2
Following the events of Dr. Stone: New World, Senku and the Kingdom of Science have their sights set on the moon, the supposed location of the mastermind behind the petrification event that turned all of humanity into stone thousands of years ago. Before they can embark on their lunar mission, they must first journey to America to gather essential resources and manpower.
According to Crunchyroll, the synopsis of the first cour of the fourth season is: “After the battle on Treasure Island, Senku and the gang return to the Kingdom of Science. With their sights set on the Moon, they must first voyage to the Americas in hopes of beginning to harvest the required materials. Through teamwork and science, they continue the fight to save humanity once and for all!”.
However, their journey to America won’t be without its challenges. They soon discover that the region is controlled by adversaries with scientific technology that rivals, and perhaps even exceeds, their own. This sets the stage for a thrilling battle of science versus science, where Senku and his team must use all their ingenuity to outsmart their rivals and ensure the survival and rejuvenation of humanity.
Fresh Faces Join the Fray
As Senku and his friends venture into new territories, they’ll encounter new allies and enemies. Recently, the Dr. Stone anime’s official website revealed that Megumi Han and Reigo Yamaguchi are joining the cast to voice Chelsea and Leonard, respectively.

A Journey Through Dr. Stone So Far
Dr. Stone is an anime television series produced by TMS Entertainment, based on the manga series of the same name written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. The story begins in 2019 (originally depicted as the near future when the manga was first serialized in 2017), when a mysterious phenomenon turns every human on the planet into stone.
The Stone World
3,700 years later, Senku Ishigami, a genius with a love for science, awakens in this “Stone World”. He discovers that civilization has collapsed and nature has reclaimed the Earth. With his vast knowledge of science, Senku embarks on a mission to rebuild human civilization from the ground up.
Rebuilding Civilization with Science
Senku’s approach involves systematically recreating technologies and inventions from the past, using scientific principles to overcome the challenges of the Stone World. He starts with basic necessities like food and shelter and gradually advances to more complex inventions such as medicine, communication devices, and transportation.
Conflicts and Alliances
As Senku progresses, he encounters other survivors, some of whom become his allies and others who become his adversaries. One of the main conflicts in the series is between Senku’s Kingdom of Science and the forces led by Tsukasa Shishiou, who believes that only the strong should be revived and that a world built on science is inherently corrupt.
Unraveling the Mystery of Petrification
Throughout his journey, Senku also seeks to uncover the cause of the petrification phenomenon. He and his friends travel to different parts of the world, gathering clues and resources to solve the mystery and potentially reverse the petrification process for those who remain trapped in stone.
The Voyage to America
In Dr. Stone: New World and continuing into Science Future, Senku and his team set sail for America to acquire resources needed for their ultimate goal: reaching the moon. This voyage marks a significant turning point in the series as they encounter new cultures, technologies, and adversaries that will test their ingenuity and resolve.
Final Thoughts
With new cast members, exciting plot developments, and the promise of a journey to the moon, Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 2 is shaping up to be an unmissable chapter in this thrilling science adventure. As Senku and his friends continue their quest to rebuild civilization, fans can expect more of the series’ signature blend of humor, heartwarming moments, and mind-blowing scientific innovation.
