New Voices Join the Post-Apocalyptic Journey
The newly revealed voice actors will portray key characters in the P.A. Works’ 25th-anniversary project. Miyuki Sawashiro takes on the role of Yoiyami, an android serving as a commander in the OWEL special forces and bearing a resemblance to the character Yugure. Tomori Kusunoki will voice Hakubo, Toshiyuki Morikawa is cast as Oboro, and Yōhei Azakami will play Yokurata. These additions round out a cast that already includes Shūichirō Umeda as the protagonist Akira Himegami, Yui Ishikawa as the android Yugure, Ai Kayano as Towasa Ōmaki, and Miyu Tomita as Amoru.
Diving into the World of Dusk Beyond the End of the World
Set 200 years in a war-ravaged future, Dusk Beyond the End of the World explores themes of love, memory, and enduring hope in a dramatically altered society. The story centers on Akira Himegami, a male high school student who awakens from cold sleep to a world controlled by a new unified organization called OWEL, where a system called “Elsie” has replaced traditional marriage.
Upon waking, Akira encounters an android named Yugure, who strikingly resembles his girlfriend, Towasa, and immediately proposes marriage to him. Confused but holding onto the belief that Towasa is still alive, Akira embarks on a journey to find her, with Yugure joining him. The series promises a profound love story stretched across time and a desolate future.
