SNK has released an animated trailer promoting the crossover collaboration between its new fighting game, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and Capcom’s iconic Street Fighter series. The animated video, directed and creatively produced by renowned animator Masami Ōbari, highlights the inclusion of Street Fighter‘s Ken Masters as a playable character in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
Ken Masters Enters the Ring in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
The collaboration brings Street Fighter‘s Ken Masters to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as a downloadable content (DLC) character. Ken is set to arrive in Summer 2025 as part of the game’s first Season Pass. This highly anticipated addition allows players to control Ken with his signature moveset, including the Hadoken and Shoryuken, and utilize his REV Arts for powerful combos. His inclusion also comes with new original stories in both Arcade Mode and the single-player RPG mode “EOST,” where he will interact with Fatal Fury characters and unravel a new plot in South Town.
A Crossover of Legendary Proportions
The collaboration extends beyond Ken, as Chun-Li, another fan-favorite Street Fighter character, is also slated to join the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves roster in Winter 2025, also as part of the Season Pass 1 DLC. This move reciprocates previous crossovers, as Fatal Fury‘s own Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui have already appeared as DLC characters in Street Fighter 6. The ongoing exchange between these two legendary fighting game franchises underscores a growing trend of collaboration between SNK and Capcom.
Immersive Crossover Experience
Beyond the playable characters, the Street Fighter collaboration in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves introduces additional features to enhance the crossover experience. Players can now fight in the iconic Suzaku Castle stage, familiar to long-time Street Fighter fans, set under the moonlight. The update also includes new sound effects, Street Fighter-themed menu artwork, and a jukebox selection featuring tracks from the Street Fighter franchise, aiming to seamlessly blend the energy of both series.
