The Fist of the Blue Sky: Re:Genesis manga, written by Hiroyuki Yatsu and illustrated by Hideki Tsuji, is set to conclude with its upcoming sixth compiled book volume, slated for a November release. This announcement follows the series’ return from a lengthy hiatus earlier this year.
Series Nears its End After Hiatus and Draft Completion
The conclusion of Fist of the Blue Sky: Re:Genesis has been anticipated by fans, especially after the series resumed serialization in Coamix’s Monthly Comic Zenon in January 2025, following a hiatus that began in May 2020. A Continuation of the Fist of the Blue Sky Legacy
Fist of the Blue Sky: Re:Genesis launched in Monthly Comic Zenon in October 2017 as a direct continuation of the original Fist of the Blue Sky manga. The original Fist of the Blue Sky manga, written by Buronson and Nobuhiko Horie with art by Tetsuo Hara, ran in Shinchosha’s Weekly Comic Bunch from May 2001 to August 2010, serving as a prequel to the iconic Fist of the North Star series. The original series spanned 22 compiled volumes.
