The manga adaptation of “Formerly, the Fallen Daughter of the Duke,” penned by Ushio Shirotori, has officially gone on hiatus. The pause in serialization is attributed to the creator’s recovery period following the birth of her second child.
Ushio Shirotori announced the hiatus on her X/Twitter account, stating that she anticipates being recovered and ready to resume work by winter.
The series, which adapts Saki Ichibu’s light novels, launched on Mag Garden’s Mag Comi website in September 2020. Tokyopop publishes the manga in English. The narrative follows Claire Martino, a disgraced duke’s daughter who embarks on a journey of self-discovery after her engagement to the crown prince is annulled, only to find her new reality eerily similar to an otome game. The manga’s seventh compiled book volume was published by Mag Garden on April 15, while Tokyopop released the sixth volume in English on June 10.
