The upcoming “Girls Band Cry” compilation films have released a new trailer, offering a deeper look into the emotional journey of the band “Togenashi Togeari.” The films, which re-edit the 13 episodes of the original anime series with newly animated scenes, are set to premiere in two parts later this year.
The first compilation film, titled “Youth Rhapsody” (Seishun Kyōsōkyoku), is scheduled to debut on October 3, 2025, followed by the second part, “Hey, Future.” (Nā, Mirai.), on November 14, 2025.
A Glimpse into Nina Iseri’s Struggle
The newly released trailer prominently features Nina Iseri, the series’ protagonist, highlighting her solitary move to Tokyo after dropping out of high school. The footage emphasizes her fierce determination to persevere despite facing cold stares and repeated setbacks, reflecting her discomfort, loneliness, and anger. A particularly impactful moment in the trailer captures Nina on stage, asserting, “To everyone who denied everything about me—I’ll scream back, ‘I wasn’t wrong!'” The intensity of this declaration leaves a strong impression, underscoring her resolve to remain true to her convictions.
