The World of Gōmon Baito-kun no Nichijō
Gōmon Baito-kun no Nichijō is a dark workplace comedy set in an alternate reality where murder and torture are legal. The story centers on Cero, a cheerful part-time worker at the “Spirytus” torture company, who enjoys his daily tasks alongside his senior colleague Shiu, a “legend in the torture world.” Their routine is spiced up with the arrival of new part-timers, the energetic Mikke and the serious but kind Hugh. The manga, created by Tsugumi Yawora, began serialization on Hakusensha’s Young Animal Web service in December 2022. It has garnered attention for its unique blend of a relaxed, homely workplace environment with the brutal nature of torture.
