Titan Manga has announced that they have licensed Grendizer U: The Inception manga adaptation. Here’s what we know about this exciting news for fans of the Mazinger franchise.
What is Grendizer U?
UFO Robot Grendizer is a Japanese manga and anime television series created by Go Nagai. It is the third entry in the Mazinger series, though later it was relegated to a spinoff. The original anime series aired from October 5, 1975, to February 27, 1977. The story follows Duke Fleed, a prince from the planet Fleed who is forced to flee his home after it is attacked by the Vega Alliance. He arrives on Earth and is taken in by Dr. Umon, who gives him the name Daisuke. When the Vega Alliance begins to attack Earth, Duke Fleed must pilot the Grendizer robot to defend his new home.
Grendizer U is a remake of the original anime series that aired from July to September 2024. Grendizer U: The Inception opens with a prequel story not told in the original TV anime. When a UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon) of the Vega Alliance appears on Earth, humanity is helpless against Vega’s overwhelming military might. However, Mazinger Z, operated by Kouji Kabuto, and Grendizer, piloted by Duke Fleed, appear on the scene. The story explores why Duke Fleed, the prince of the planet Fleed, came to Earth and what kind of life he spent in his homeland.
Titan Manga Licenses Grendizer U: The Inception
Titan Manga, a manga imprint of Titan Comics, has revealed that they have licensed Grendizer U: The Inception manga adaptation. However, further details, such as the release date, are yet to be revealed.
Titan Comics will also publish a French sequel to Go Nagai’s UFO Robot Grendizer anime and manga. The new series is also titled UFO Robot Grendizer, and the creative team includes writer Xavier Dorison and artists Denis Bajram, Brice Cossu, Alexis Sentenac, and Yoann Guillo. It will be published in comics format and will kick off on September 4, 2024, with a 56-page first issue.

Isekai Metaller
Isekai Metaller Volume 1 will be released on October 14, 2025, with the second volume set for release on December 30, 2025. The story follows Alex, a metalhead who wakes up in a world full of dragons, werewolves, and monsters after getting electrocuted during his band’s farewell gig.
Gamera – Rebirth – : Code Thyrsos
Gamera -Rebirth-: Code Thyrsos Vol. 1 will be released on November 25, 2025. Set 100,000 years before the events of GAMERA -Rebirth- on Netflix, this prequel uncovers the rise of the ancient civilization of Elisitania, where powerful creatures were created for artificial wars to benefit the elite. The story follows a boy named Lucius, who is left scarred and vengeful after witnessing the death of his father in one of these brutal conflicts.
Gran Familia
The first volume of Gran Familia will be released on October 28, 2025, while the second volume will be released on January 27, 2026.
