The Haigakura anime is making a fresh start! After a hiatus that began in November 2024, the series is set to return to Japanese screens on July 3, 2025, with a rebroadcast of the first episode. Fans can also look forward to the premiere of the eighth episode on August 21, 2025.

What Happened?

The Haigakura anime, based on Shinobu Takayama’s manga, originally went off the air to ensure the quality of the remaining episodes. The production team has reaffirmed their commitment to delivering the charm of the work, which led to the “Summer Restart Broadcast Schedule” announcement.

Story Synopsis

The anime follows Ichiyo, a kashi, and Tenko on a journey to find themselves, battling to regain what’s been lost, including captured family and a missing past. The story is set in an immortal realm on the verge of collapse, where they search for the ‘Four Perils’ to bring salvation to the land.

Background

Haigakura premiered in Japan on October 7, 2024, with a total of 13 episodes planned. After airing seven episodes, the series was put on hold. The first six episodes were rebroadcast weekly starting November 25, 2024.
