The upcoming Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube anime is generating excitement with the release of a new trailer, key visual, and details about its theme songs. Set to premiere on July 2, 2025, in Japan, the series will air for two split cours, with the second cour scheduled for January 2026.

Visuals and Story

The new key visual showcases the protagonist, Meisuke “Nube” Nueno, in a face-off with his arch-enemy, Tamamo. The trailer offers glimpses of yokai attacking students, highlighting the supernatural conflicts Nube will tackle. The anime adapts the Jigoku Sensei Nube manga series, penned by Sho Makura and illustrated by Takeshi Okano, which originally ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1993 to 1999. The manga has spawned sequels and spin-offs, including Jigoku Sensei Nube NEO, Jigoku Sensei Nube S, Reibaishi Izuna, and Reibaishi Izuna: Ascension. A new manga, Jigoku Sensei Nube Kai, debuted in Saikyo Jump on May 2, 2025.

Theme Songs Revealed

The trailer unveils the opening and ending theme songs for the anime. “-SKS- ZIGZAG” performs the opening theme, “P0WER-AkuryoTaisan-,” while Chilli Beans provides the ending theme, “Sunflower.” These songs promise to set the tone for the series, blending intense action with emotional depth.

Staff and Cast

Studio Kai is handling the animation production. Ryotaro Okiayu reprises his role as Meisuke “Nube” Nueno from the original 1996-1997 anime. The voice cast includes:

  • Ryotaro Okiayu as Meisuke “Nube” Nueno
