HIDIVE has officially announced that it will stream the anime adaptation of My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I’m Out for Revenge! beginning October 3, making it a key title for their Fall 2025 season. The announcement was accompanied by an English-subbed trailer for the series, which is set to debut on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11 channels in Japan.
Anime Set for October Premiere
The highly anticipated revenge-fantasy series, animated by J.C. Staff, will be available to HIDIVE subscribers starting October 3. Ahead of its broadcast premiere, an advance screening of the first three episodes is slated for September 7 at Shinjuku Piccadilly Cinema. This acquisition reinforces HIDIVE’s commitment to delivering a diverse slate of anime, leveraging its agreement with MBS for exclusive streaming rights to select titles outside of Asia.
A Tale of Betrayal and Overpowered Revenge
The anime adapts the light novel series by Shisui Meikyo and tef, known for its extensive original title, Shinjiteita Nakama-tachi ni Dungeon Okuchi de Korosarekaketa ga Gift “Mugen Gacha” de Level 9999 no Nakama-tachi wo Te ni Irete Moto Party Member to Sekai ni Fukushuu & “Zamaa!” Shimasu!. The story centers on Light, an adventurer who is betrayed and left for dead by his comrades in the perilous Abyss, the realm’s most dangerous dungeon.
Despite being abandoned, Light possesses a unique, seemingly useless magical skill called “Unlimited Gacha.” This ability, which previously only produced junk items, surprisingly allows him to summon Mei, a powerful Level 9999 warrior in a maid outfit. Over three years, Light uses his gacha gift to build a formidable underground kingdom, accumulating an army of loyal Level 9999 fighters. Now a powerful Level 9999 Overlord himself, Light prepares to return to the surface world to exact revenge on those who betrayed him. The series promises a thrilling narrative of vengeance and ascension.

The My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha series originated as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2020. Hobby Japan began publishing the print light novel volumes with illustrations by tef in May 2021, with 12 volumes released as of April 2025. J-Novel Club has licensed the novels for English release. A manga adaptation by Takashi Ohmae launched on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website in May 2021, with 17 volumes published as of August 2025. Seven Seas has licensed the manga.
