Hina Yōmiya, a recognized voice actress, has joined the cast of the TV anime “mono,” which is based on the manga by Afro, the creator of “Laid-Back Camp”. Yōmiya will be voicing the character of Torayo Kurokuma, a horror manga artist also known as Kurokuma-sensei.

Hina Yōmiya was born on March 26, 2000, in Nara Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with Aoni Production and began her voice acting career in 2020. Some of her notable roles include:

“mono” Anime Overview
The “mono” anime series premiered in Japan on April 13, 2025, and is planned to run for 12 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the series worldwide, excluding Japan. Ryota Aikei (assistant director of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2) is directing the anime, with Takuya Miyahara (Frederica opening movie, co-main animator for Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie) as the character designer, and Yoko Yonaiyama (A Sign of Affection) as the series screenwriter. Soigne is in charge of the animation production.

Story
“mono” follows Satsuki Amamiya, who feels down after the graduation of the high school Photography Club’s president. Her friend An Kiriyama encourages her to dedicate herself to the newly merged Cinephoto Club. Together, Satsuki and An search for a missing camera, meet new people, and capture photos and videos along the way.
Yōmiya’s Comment
Yōmiya commented on her role, stating that she finds the cute expressions and atmosphere of everyone involved in the anime to be very soothing, both at the dubbing site and in the anime itself. She expressed her happiness in being able to experience such wonderful everyday life as Kurokuma-sensei and hopes viewers will keep an eye on the character as they watch the series.
