Hiru Morino’s action-packed manga series, Luna Knight, has officially concluded its serialization. The final chapter appeared in the December issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine, which was released on Tuesday. The series’ third and final compiled book volume is slated for release on January 20.
The Journey of Luna Knight
Luna Knight first launched in Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine in September 2024. The manga follows the story of high school student Luna Amano, who runs her missing sister’s flower shop. Her seemingly ordinary life takes a drastic turn when yakuza thugs burn down the shop, triggering a flood of forgotten memories and revealing her hidden, lethal skills.
A Tale of Revenge and Identity
The core of Luna Knight delves into Luna’s quest for revenge against those who destroyed her sister’s shop, while simultaneously grappling with her fractured past and unexplained combat abilities. She finds herself thrust into a world of violence, guns, and intrigue, piecing together why she possesses such deadly proficiency. The narrative heavily alludes to Luna being a “sleeper agent” tied to a major criminal organization known as the “Round Table,” and their alleged experiment involving brainwashed assassins.
International Release and Availability
For international readers, Seven Seas Entertainment announced last month that they will be publishing the Luna Knight series in English. The first compiled volume from Seven Seas is scheduled for an August 25, 2026, release. The series is categorized under action, drama, and mystery genres.
Hiru Morino is credited for both the story and art of Luna Knight. The manga quickly garnered attention for its intense action and psychological elements, drawing comparisons to works like “John Wick” for its protagonist’s sudden violent capabilities.
