The television anime adaptation of Kōsuke Unagi’s light novel series, “I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!” (A-Rank Party o Ridatsu Shita Ore wa, Moto Oshiego-tachi to Meikyū Shinbu o Mezasu.), has been officially renewed for a second season. The announcement by Bandai Namco Filmworks followed the conclusion of its first season, which aired its 24th and final episode on Sunday, June 28, 2025.

Production Details and First Season Overview

The first season of the anime premiered on January 12, 2025, and ran for two consecutive cours, totaling 24 episodes. Bandai Namco Pictures handled the animation production, with Katsumi Ono directing the series. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu oversaw and wrote the series scripts, while Masakazu Yamazaki designed the characters. Crunchyroll has been streaming the anime as it aired, including an English dub.

The story centers on Yuke Feldio, a red mage who leaves his A-rank adventurer party, “Thunder Pike,” after enduring years of being underestimated and ridiculed despite his vital support. Seeking a new path, Yuke reunites with his former students—Marina, Silk, and Rain—and joins their fledgling D-ranked party, “Clover.” With his exceptional skills and leadership, Yuke guides his new team through perilous quests, aiming to conquer formidable dungeons like the “Colorless Abyss.” Their adventures, often broadcast via an artifact known as Camerat, gradually build their reputation.

Anticipation for the Second Season

While an official release date for the second season has not yet been announced, anticipation is high among fans. Some predictions suggest a potential release in late 2026, allowing the production team ample time to maintain the quality of storytelling and animation. The first season was well-received for its compelling narrative and dynamic character development, leaving viewers eager to continue the adventures of Yuke and his new party.
