The television anime adaptation of I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! has officially been green-lit for a second season. The announcement came swiftly after the broadcast of its 24th and final episode of the first season on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
Character designer Masakazu Yamazaki commemorated the news by sharing a special illustration on the anime’s official website and X (formerly Twitter) account. While the production of the sequel has been confirmed, specific details such as the release date, additional cast members, staff, or the exact production studio for the second season have yet to be revealed.
The first season of the fantasy adventure anime, produced by Bandai Namco Pictures, premiered on January 12, 2025, and aired for two consecutive cours, concluding in June 2025. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, also offering an English dub.
Based on Kōsuke Unagi’s light novel series, illustrated by Super Zombie, and its manga adaptation by Yuri, the story follows Yuke Feldio, a “red mage” who, fed up with his A-rank party, leaves to mentor his former students, Marina, Silk, and Rain. As they embark on dungeon quests, Yuke’s extraordinary magical abilities and skills are showcased, while also helping his students unleash their full potential. The first season is believed to have covered volumes 1-3 of the light novel series, suggesting that the second season will adapt the remaining volumes (4 and 5) and delve deeper into Yuke and his party’s challenges.
