The popular fantasy anime series, I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!, has officially been greenlit for a second season. The announcement arrived swiftly after the 24th and final episode of its first season aired on June 29, 2025. Fans can anticipate more adventures with Yuke Feldio and the Clover Party, though a specific release date for the new season has yet to be disclosed.

Season One’s Journey and Success

The first season of I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! premiered on January 12, 2025, running for two consecutive cours, totaling 24 episodes. Produced by BN Pictures, the anime quickly garnered a following with its blend of fantasy, adventure, and heartwarming character dynamics. Katsumi Ono directed the inaugural season, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handling the series composition, and Masakazu Yamazaki designing the characters. A special illustration by character designer Masakazu Yamazaki was shared on the show’s official social media to commemorate the second season’s confirmation.

The series follows Yuke Feldio, a “lowly” red mage who, after enduring years of ridicule and being undervalued by his A-rank party, “Thunder Pike,” decides to strike out on his own. His departure, viewed as insignificant by his former comrades, quickly proves to be a grave miscalculation on their part. Yuke soon encounters three of his former students—Marina, Silk, and Rain—and agrees to join their D-rank party, “Clover.”

Under Yuke’s guidance, the nascent Clover Party begins to flourish. Yuke, despite his self-proclaimed “support” role, possesses extraordinary magic and alchemy skills that far surpass his former party’s expectations. He meticulously trains his eager students, helping them unlock their full potential and showcasing their burgeoning abilities through various dungeon quests. The party’s exploits, particularly their “adventure broadcasts” via an artifact known as Camelot, gain them widespread recognition throughout society. The overarching dream of the Clover Party is to conquer the perilous Achromatic Darkness, the world’s most challenging dungeon. However, as they progress through other dungeons, they gradually find themselves entangled in a larger conflict that threatens the entire world.

The main voice cast, including Hiromu Mineta as Yuke, Hana Inami as Marina, Natsumi Kawaida as Silk, and Nene Hieda as Rain, is expected to return for the continuation of the story. Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired, providing both subtitled and English-dubbed versions for international audiences.

Origins in Light Novels and Manga

I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! is an adaptation of a light novel series written by Kosuke Unagi and illustrated by Super Zombie. The light novel series, which began serialization in June 2021 under Kodansha’s K Ranobe Books label, concluded on February 28, 2025, with a total of five volumes. The story originally started as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro platform in October 2020.

In addition to the light novel, a manga adaptation illustrated by Yuri has been ongoing since June 2021, serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app. Kodansha USA releases the manga digitally in English for North American readers. The conclusion of the light novel series provides a complete narrative foundation, ensuring that the anime adaptation has ample material to draw from for its future seasons.

While specific details regarding the plot or an exact air date for the second season remain under wraps, the confirmed production signals continued exploration of Yuke’s journey as a mentor and adventurer, and the growth of his beloved students. Fans can look forward to seeing how the Clover Party tackles new challenges and further impacts the world around them.
