The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Mika Yamamori’s In the Clear Moonlit Dusk (Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki) manga has released its second promotional video and a new key visual, revealing additional cast members and confirming a January 11, 2026 premiere date. Kensho Ono and Kenjiro Tsuda are joining the voice cast, further building anticipation for the romantic high school series.
New Voices Join the Star-Studded Cast
The newly unveiled second promotional video introduces two prominent voice actors to the ensemble. Kensho Ono will lend his voice to the character Takuto Oji, described as the third “prince” in the story. Kenjiro Tsuda will take on the role of Yoi’s father, adding another layer to the protagonist’s world. Ono expressed his excitement for the role, noting the delicate expressions and atmosphere of the characters.
These additions complement an already announced cast that includes Rei Ichinomiya as the lead, Yoi Takiguchi, and Ryota Suzuki as Kohaku Ichimura. Other previously announced cast members are Aya Yamane as Nobara Tone, Momoko Seto as Kotobuki Hibiya, Shota Hayama as Sentaro Akane, and Kentaro Kumagai as Shun Kuwabatake.
Premiere Date and Broadcast Details
In the Clear Moonlit Dusk is officially slated to begin its broadcast on Sunday, January 11, 2026. The series will air every Sunday at 4:30 PM Japan Standard Time (JST) on the TBS network, reaching audiences across 28 affiliated stations nationwide. Crunchyroll has also confirmed that it will stream the anime.
The Story of Two “Princes” and a New Ending Theme
The anime’s narrative centers on Yoi Takiguchi, a high school girl often admired as a “prince” due to her striking looks and composed demeanor. Her story intertwines with Kohaku Ichimura, an upperclassman who also carries the “prince” moniker. The series promises a straightforward yet awkward youth romance as it explores the relationship between these two “princes”. The new promotional video is said to illustrate Yoi’s inner conflict regarding her feelings for Kohaku, mirroring Kohaku’s own emotions.
In addition to revealing new cast members, the second PV also offered the first listen of the ending theme song, “Azalea no Kaze,” performed by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN. The popular band will also be performing the opening theme, “Uruwashi”.
Production Team and Manga Origins
The anime is being produced by East Fish Studio, with Yusuke Maruyama directing the series. Ayumu Hisao is handling the series composition, and Yuki Fukuda is responsible for character designs. Tsubasa Ito is composing the music for the series.
The In the Clear Moonlit Dusk anime is based on the popular manga by Mika Yamamori, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in 2020. Kodansha USA publishes an official English version of the manga, describing Yoi as having long legs, a deep voice, and a handsome face, earning her the nickname “Prince” until she meets Ichimura-senpai, who sees her for who she truly is.
