The anime adaptation is being produced by Platinum Vision, a studio known for its work on various animated series. Hideaki Ōba, recognized for his direction in Love of Kill and I’m in Love with the Villainess, is helming the project as director. Shunsuke Takizawa (TRYTONELABO) is composing the music, aiming to create an immersive auditory experience for Kunon’s magical world. Origins in Light Novels and Manga
The anime is based on Umikaze Minamino’s light novel series, which originally began serialization on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in August 2021. Kadokawa later began publishing the compiled novel volumes with illustrations by Laruha in March 2022. A manga adaptation, illustrated by La-na, also began serialization in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine in April 2022. Yen Press is publishing the novel series in English, allowing a broader audience to follow Kunon’s extraordinary journey.
