Shueisha’s vertical-scrolling manga service, Jump TOON, is set to expand its catalog significantly with the launch of five new manga series in August and September. Additionally, the platform will debut a vertical, full-color version of Naoya Matsumoto’s popular Kaiju No. 8 manga, starting September 1. The announcements were made in the 38th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
Jump TOON’s Expanding Library with New Titles
The five new manga series will diversify Jump TOON’s offerings, which aim to cater to the growing popularity of vertical-scrolling, full-color webtoon formats. These new additions feature a range of creators, including Ko Hiratori, Nora Kohigashi, and Manimani Ononata, who will contribute new stories to the platform.
Details on the New Manga Series:
- Seirei Meikyū no Shinen wo Koete (Beyond the Abyss of the Spirit Labyrinth): Written by Nora Kohigashi with art by Moa, this series is scheduled to launch on August 28.
- Satsujin Reijō Charlotte (Murderous Lady Charlotte): Ko Hiratori is credited with the story, and Lemon Natsume provides the art. It is set to debut on August 30.

Jump TOON, managed by the subsidiary Toon Factory, represents Shueisha’s foray into in-house production of vertical manga, aiming to meet the demand for fully-colored manga and support creators in this evolving landscape.
Kaiju No. 8 Goes Full-Color and Vertical
One of the most anticipated additions to Jump TOON is the full-color, vertical-scrolling version of Naoya Matsumoto’s highly acclaimed Kaiju No. 8. This new format will become available on September 1. The original Kaiju No. 8 manga, known in English as Monster #8, began its serialization on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ online platform in July 2020 and concluded in July 2025. It has gained significant global popularity, with Viz Media releasing the series in English both digitally and in print, and Shueisha also publishing it on its MANGA Plus service.
The franchise has seen considerable success, including an anime adaptation whose first season premiered in April 2024, followed by a second season in July 2025. A smartphone and PC game titled Kaiju No. 8 the Game is also set to launch on August 31, 2025. The release of a vertical, full-color version on Jump TOON aims to provide fans with a fresh and immersive way to experience the adventures of Kafka Hibino.
