Yuami’s delightful manga, Koala E Nikki (コアラ絵日記), also known as Koala’s Diary or Koala Picture Diary, is set to charm audiences in a brand-new web anime adaptation by Studio Mother. Kadokawa made the announcement on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, accompanied by a teaser visual, the unveiling of the main staff, and an announcement video, commemorating the manga’s fourth anniversary.
A Precious Daily Life
The manga, which Yuami launched on their X (formerly Twitter) account on June 11, 2021, captures the essence of daily life through the eyes of a Koala. Whether the days are filled with joy or tinged with sadness, Koala cherishes each moment as a precious part of their journey. With an optimistic outlook, Koala believes that every day is a good day, and tomorrow holds the promise of even better things.
Kadokawa published the manga’s first compiled book volume in 2022, followed by the fourth volume on February 14, 2025.

- Noozles: Also known as The Wondrous Koala Blinky, this 26-episode anime by Nippon Animation Company was originally released in Japan in 1984. It depicts the adventures of a 12-year-old girl named Sandy and her koala friends, Blinky and Pinky, who are from the extra-dimensional realm of Koalawalla Land.

- Ikoku Nikki (Diary of a Strange Land): Tomoko Yamashita’s josei manga Ikoku Nikki is also receiving an anime adaptation by Studio Shuka.
