The highly anticipated TV anime adaptation of Enju’s popular light novel series, “Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods” (Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei), is officially slated for a 2026 premiere. While a specific monthly debut date like April has not been consistently confirmed across all announcements, promotional videos and news updates have steadily unveiled a significant portion of its talented voice cast, building excitement among fans.
Anime Adaptation Details and 2026 Release Window
The television anime series, based on the slice-of-life fantasy light novel and its subsequent manga adaptation, was initially announced on July 14, 2025. Since then, Kadokawa has been at the forefront of promotional efforts, consistently confirming a 2026 broadcast in Japan. Fans are eagerly awaiting more precise scheduling details as the premiere year draws closer.

The Original Story: A Divine Slice of Life Fantasy
“Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods” originates from the light novel series written by Enju and illustrated by ox. It began serialization on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2021 before being acquired by ASCII Media Works for full publication under their Dengeki no Shin Bungei imprint. Yen Press is responsible for publishing the light novels in English in North America.
The story follows Minato Kusunoki, who inherits a house previously overrun with evil spirits. However, Minato’s extraordinary ability cleanses the dwelling, subsequently attracting a unique procession of gods to his purified residence. The narrative unfolds as Minato navigates his peaceful, yet increasingly lively, daily life surrounded by these spiritual neighbors. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Akira Anzai, also began serialization on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website in November 2021.
As the 2026 debut approaches, fans can anticipate more details regarding the full production staff, animation studio, and potentially a more definitive release schedule for “Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods” TV anime.
