The official website for the upcoming original anime feature film Labyrinth (known as Meikyu no Shiori in Japan) has released a new main trailer and a fresh visual, offering fans a deeper look into the highly anticipated movie. The trailer notably reveals additional voice cast members, key staff augmentations, and the film’s captivating theme song.
Slated for a theatrical release in Japan on January 1, 2026, the film will also have its Asian premiere at the 38th Tokyo International Film Festival on October 28 and 30, 2025.
Expanded Voice Cast Enhances Character Roster
The latest trailer introduces three new voice actors joining the ensemble, bringing significant talent to the film’s character lineup. Show Hayami, known for his role as Ferdinand in Ascendance of a Bookworm, will voice Keizo Maezawa, the protagonist Shiori’s father. Maaya Sakamoto, who plays Echidna in Re:ZERO − Starting Life in Another World, is cast as Yoriko Maezawa, Shiori’s mother. Rounding out the new additions is Tomokazu Sugita, the voice behind Gintoki Sakata in Gintama, who will portray Tosaka, Shiori’s homeroom teacher.
These seasoned actors join SUZUKA, one of the four members of the Japanese girl group ATARASHII GAKKO!, who was previously announced to voice the protagonist, Shiori Maezawa, as well as SHIORI@REVOLUTION, another iteration of Shiori who appears from the smartphone world.
