The Story So Far
“Let This Grieving Soul Retire!” adapts the light novel series by Tsukikage and illustrated by Chyko, which began as a web novel in 2018. The story follows Krai Andrey, a treasure hunter who, despite his perceived lack of talent, is made the leader of a powerful party of childhood friends. Krai’s constant desire to retire from his dangerous profession, juxtaposed with his friends’ belief in his abilities, forms the core of this fantasy comedy. The manga adaptation by Rai Hebino has also been popular, with Yen Press publishing it in English. J-Novel Club publishes the original light novel series in English.
