A television anime adaptation of Byū’s horror comedy manga, Let’s Go Kaikigumi (Rettsu Go Kaikigumi), has been officially announced and is slated to premiere in 2026. A dedicated website has launched, revealing a teaser promotional video for the upcoming series. The anime will broadcast on TBS and 27 affiliated channels on Sunday evenings.
What is Let’s Go Kaikigumi?
The Let’s Go Kaikigumi manga, created by Byū, is a horror comedy that follows an unnamed, cowardly protagonist. His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Mechako, the formidable leader of the “Kaikigumi” organization, a group responsible for managing ghosts and other supernatural entities that typically scare humans.
The story kicks off as the protagonist inadvertently plays a role in the revival of the Kaikigumi. Following this event, he finds himself constantly surrounded by a series of bizarre, yet not truly terrifying, supernatural phenomena. The manga was serialized on the Omocoro web service from 2018 to 2024, with its interesting content leading to Shogakukan publishing it in book form.
