The popular webcomic Let’s Play is officially getting an anime adaptation, and fans are buzzing with excitement. An English-subtitled trailer has dropped, revealing key cast and staff details, along with a premiere window in 2025. Here’s everything you need to know about this highly anticipated series.

What is ‘Let’s Play’ About?

Let’s Play is a romantic comedy comic series created by Leeanne M. Krecic, known to fans as Mongie. It was originally published digitally on Webtoon from 2016 to 2022. The story revolves around Sam Young, a passionate young woman striving to make her mark in the video game development world.

Webtoon describes the plot as: “She’s young, single and about to achieve her dream of creating incredible videogames. But then life throws her a one-two punch: a popular streamer gives her first game a scathing review. Even worse she finds out that same troublesome critic is now her new neighbor! A funny, sexy and all-too-real story about gaming, memes and social anxiety. Come for the plot, stay for the doggo.”

The comic has garnered a massive following, boasting over 7.5 million subscribers globally on Webtoon. It was even nominated for an Eisner Award in 2019, a testament to its quality and appeal.
