A new promotional video for the upcoming anime adaptation of Kyōsuke Nishiki’s Li’l Miss Vampire Can’t Suck Right (Chanto Suenai Kyūketsuki-chan) manga has revealed two additional cast members: M.A.O as Eiko Sakuma and Ikumi Hasegawa as Misa Kusunoki. The trailer, released on July 23, 2025, also confirmed an October 2025 premiere for the supernatural comedy series.
Expanding the Cast of Clumsy Vampires
The latest announcement adds more depth to the ensemble of characters in the highly anticipated anime. M.A.O, known for her diverse roles, will voice Eiko Sakuma, while Ikumi Hasegawa, a rising talent, takes on the role of Misa Kusunoki. These two join the previously announced main cast, which includes Minami Tanaka as the titular protagonist Luna Ishikawa, a vampire who struggles with sucking blood, and Kensho Ono as Tatsuta Ōtori, her classmate who helps her navigate her unique predicament.
Voice Actors Bring Characters to Life
M.A.O, commenting on her role as Eiko Sakuma, expressed enthusiasm for the series’ “kind and peaceful” portrayal of high school life with “cute vampires,” promising to convey Sakuma’s love for Luna with a bright and energetic performance. Ikumi Hasegawa, portraying the “boyish and reliable” Misa Kusunoki, noted the abundance of jokes in the work and her efforts to deliver them with vigor during recording.
Production Details and Premiere
The Li’l Miss Vampire Can’t Suck Right anime is being animated by Studio feel., a studio recognized for its work on titles such as My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU and Tsuki ga Kirei. Sayaka Yamai is directing the series, with Yuniko Ayana handling the series composition and Takuya Tani in charge of character designs. Tomoki Kikuya is composing the music, produced by Lantis.
Theme Song Reveals
The new promotional video also offered a preview of the anime’s theme songs. H△G will perform the opening theme song titled “Seishun no Silhouette” (Youthful Silhouette), and they will also perform the ending theme song “Senkō Hanabi” (Sparklers) alongside Minami Tanaka, Luna’s voice actress.
The anime is set to broadcast on Tokyo MX, Kansai TV, BS Asahi, AT-X, U-NEXT, and other streaming services starting in October 2025. Fans can anticipate a heartwarming and humorous slice-of-life supernatural comedy based on Kyōsuke Nishiki’s manga, which has been serialized in Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine since May 2021. Yen Press is licensing the manga for English publication.
