Masato Natsumoto, the acclaimed artist known for his work on Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight, is set to launch a new manga series titled Suzumebachi (Hornet). The “nonstop suspense” story will debut in the next issue of Shonengahosha’s Young King Bull magazine on August 18.
The announcement came in the 17th issue of Young King Bull this year. Suzumebachi will follow a disillusioned high school student whose life takes an unexpected turn after he saves an older man from a suicide attempt.
Natsumoto’s Extensive Portfolio
Masato Natsumoto has a long and varied career in the manga industry. Beyond his contributions to the Record of Lodoss War franchise, which includes adapting volumes six and seven of the Chronicles of the Heroic Knight TV series into manga, he is also recognized for several other works.

- Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Rebellion: Natsumoto concluded this manga series in Kadokawa’s Gundam Ace magazine in February 2021, after it began in 2013.
