Manga UP! Global has announced the addition of Ibarakino and Yū Kajii’s The Noble Unlocker’s Ascendancy (original title: Ore Dake Status Open Dekiru Ken: Ore Dake Status Kakunin Dekire Sekai de Cheat Skill mo S-kyū Item mo Erabi-hōdai) manga to its English-language service. The fantasy series is now available for readers worldwide, further expanding the platform’s diverse catalog.
Discovering a Seemingly Worthless Skill
The narrative of The Noble Unlocker’s Ascendancy centers on fifteen-year-old Hiraku Mato, born into a prestigious noble family renowned for its master swordsmen. His destiny seemed set to inherit the legendary “Sword Saint” skill, a fate anticipated at his coming-of-age appraisal ceremony. However, the ceremony takes an unexpected turn, revealing his unique gift to be the seemingly insignificant “Unlocker” skill.
Initially, Hiraku’s future appears shattered. With no historical records mentioning such a skill, it is presumed to possess only mundane capabilities, such as opening doors and windows. This misconception changes dramatically after a chance encounter that uncovers the true, hidden potential of his power: the ability to “unlock” status windows, concealed skills, and even rare dropped items. Armed with this cheat-like ability, Hiraku embarks on an action-packed fantasy journey to forge his own path, defying initial expectations and societal norms.
The Creators Behind the Series
The original story of The Noble Unlocker’s Ascendancy was penned by Ibarakino, known for other works such as Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest and The Healer Ditches the Boonies to Become an S-Rank Adventurer. Ibarakino initially launched the web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in August 2023. Yū Kajii then began the manga adaptation on Square Enix’s Manga UP! platform on January 26, with the first compiled volume published on April 7.
Manga UP! Global’s Expanding Reach
