Spotlight on New Additions
“Hebigami Transforms When He’s Cold”
Kurimiya’s “Hebigami Transforms When He’s Cold” introduces Hebigami, a transfer student with a peculiar condition: he transforms into a snake when he gets cold. Despite being feared by many classmates due to his mysterious aura, his seatmate Haruna recognizes his true, kind nature. The manga follows Haruna’s efforts to help Hebigami return to his human form by warming him up, unfolding as a slow-burn, heartwarming, and youthful rom-com about a non-human boy and an ordinary high school girl.
Kurimiya initially published a one-shot version of the manga on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch website in September 2023 before launching it as a serialization on Gangan Online. Square Enix released the first compiled volume on April 22.
“The Ice Mage’s Unrequited Love was Me in Disguise”
This manga is an adaptation of Shusui Hazuki’s light novel and features Fiene, a count’s neglected daughter who secretly leads a double life as the kingdom’s most powerful witch. She enters a political marriage with the handsome future duke, Sion, who explicitly states he will never love her. Fiene is initially content with this arrangement until she discovers that Sion’s affections are secretly directed towards her witch alter ego. The story is described as a pure love comedy centered around an optimistically resilient noblewoman and a seemingly frigid mage.
Guntao began serializing the manga on Square Enix’s Gangan Online in June 2024, with the second compiled volume shipping on May 12. The original story by Shusui Hazuki ran on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from October 2022 to February 2024, and Square Enix published a novel volume with illustrations by toi8 in April 2023.
“As Miss Beelzebub Likes”
Manga Up! Global also added matoba’s “As Miss Beelzebub Likes” (Beelzebub-jou no Okinimesu mama.) to its lineup on Sunday. This popular series, also published in print by Yen Press, offers a comedic look at the daily life of Beelzebub, the great demon lord, and her devoted, easily flustered attendant, Mullin.
