A dynamic new manga, titled Kizuitara Musō Game no Akuyaku Shōgun Datta Ken. ~Hametsu Route wa Buttsubusu~ (That Time I Got Reincarnated as an Evil General in a Hack-and-Slash Game ~Destroy the Bad Ending~), has just launched, bringing together a formidable trio of creators: Kenkyo na Circle, Shinya Murata, and Tsuyoshi Watanabe. The collaboration debuted last Friday on Hero’s Inc.’s Comiplex manga website.
Kenkyo na Circle, known for the original work of 7th Prince’s Kenkyo na Circle, is credited with the new manga’s original concept. Shinya Murata, acclaimed for his work on Killing Bites, is handling the composition, while Tsuyoshi Watanabe, the artist behind Dragons Rioting, is illustrating the series.
Diving into the Narrative: An Isekai with a Twist
The story centers on a man trapped in a grueling corporate job, whose sole escape is immersing himself in the hack-and-slash game “Brave of Kingdom.” However, a strange occurrence during his gameplay transports him directly into the game’s world. He finds himself reincarnated as General Zeorg, the game’s evil general, a character destined for a grim fate at the hands of the hero.
Armed with his real-world survival tactics from his exploitative workplace and his extensive knowledge of the game, Zeorg is determined to subvert his predetermined “bad ending.” The manga promises an intriguing blend of isekai elements with a focus on strategic survival against a pre-written destiny.

Kenkyo na Circle: The Mind Behind the 7th Prince
Kenkyo na Circle is the original author of the popular I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability light novel series. This series, which began online in October 2019, has seen significant success, including a manga adaptation and an anime television series that premiered in April 2024, with a second season following in July of the same year.
Shinya Murata: The Architect of Action
Shinya Murata is widely recognized for his intense and action-packed storytelling, particularly as the writer of Killing Bites. Killing Bites launched in March 2017 and later inspired a 12-episode anime adaptation in January 2018. Murata has also contributed to other manga such as Saikyō Skill “Inochigoi” de Kuyashii kedo Musō Shichau Moto Ōsama no Sekai Seifuku Katsudō.
Tsuyoshi Watanabe: The Master Illustrator
Tsuyoshi Watanabe is celebrated for his artwork, notably in the Dragons Rioting manga, which ran from 2012 to 2016 in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dragon Age magazine. Watanabe’s distinct artistic style will now bring the world and characters of Kizuitara Musō Game no Akuyaku Shōgun Datta Ken. ~Hametsu Route wa Buttsubusu~ to life.
