The highly anticipated TV anime adaptation of Joumyaku and Mizuki Yoda’s hitman/marriage swindler manga, Marriage Toxin, has revealed its first full-length trailer, an updated main visual, and a host of new cast members, generating significant buzz among fans. The original Marriage Toxin manga, written by Joumyaku and illustrated by Mizuki Yoda, has been serialized on Shueisha’s manga app Shonen Jump+ since April 2022. Viz Media has licensed the series for English release, describing the plot as an assassin named Gero, desperate to prevent his sister from being forced to bear an heir for their clan, turning to a marriage swindler named Mei Kinosaki for help in finding a wife. The series is lauded as an “intense marriage hunting battle action story”. As of October 2025, 15 tankōbon volumes have been collected, with the 16th volume set for release in January 2026.
