January 4, 2026: The Start Line for Season 3
The third season of MF Ghost will officially begin broadcasting on Sunday, January 4, 2026, across networks such as TOKYO MX and Animax in Japan. This confirms earlier reports of a 2026 release for the sequel series, which was announced shortly after the conclusion of the second season in December 2024.
The anime, produced by Felix Film, continues to adapt Shuichi Shigeno’s popular manga series. Fans can anticipate the third race of MFG, “The Peninsula Manazuru,” which was previously teased in visuals and promises the final leg of an intense competition.
Theme Songs Unveiled in High-Octane Promo
The new promotional video for MF Ghost Season 3 not only confirms the debut date but also gives viewers a taste of the new opening and ending theme songs.
The opening theme, titled “Timeless Power feat. MOTSU,” will be performed by Yū Serizawa. Serizawa expressed her dedication to the track, calling it “seriously crazy” and encouraging fans to prepare for it.
For the ending theme, Himika Akaneya will perform “Yokan no Tochu (Prod. ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo)).” Akaneya hopes the new ending theme will add further color to the world of MF Ghost. A preview of the opening theme is featured in the latest promotional video.
What to Expect in MF Ghost Season 3
The third season is expected to dive deep into the final race of the MFG Round 3, “The Peninsula Manazuru.” The promotional video teases a dramatic comeback for protagonist Kanata Katagiri, who faces adversity after losing access to second gear and vows revenge against his rivals in the “Kami 15” group.
The staff from previous seasons, including director Tomohito Naka, series composer Kenichi Yamashita, character designer Naoyuki Onda, and music composer Akio Dobashi, are expected to reprise their roles, ensuring continuity in the anime’s production.
