Midori Obiya and artist Tsumuri Fujitaka’s romantic comedy manga series, Chigau Miyahara Omae Janai! (No Miyahara, It’s Not You!), has officially published its final chapter. The series concluded its serialization on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump web platform, bringing the short mini-series to an end.
Series Run and Publication Details
Chigau Miyahara Omae Janai! first launched on November 11, 2022, via Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website. The manga was initially announced as a short mini-series, and its conclusion marks the completion of this intended run. Midori Obiya was responsible for the story, while Tsumuri Fujitaka handled the art.
The Premise of Chigau Miyahara Omae Janai!
The romantic comedy centered on a boy named Arima, who harbors a crush on a girl named Yukihira. A recurring comedic element of the series involved Arima’s attempts to get closer to Yukihira being consistently, and mistakenly, interpreted by his other friend, Miyahara, as advances towards her. This central misunderstanding fueled the humor and plot development throughout its serialization.

Comikey is digitally publishing Starting Today, We’re Childhood Friends in English. The conclusion of Chigau Miyahara Omae Janai! allows Obiya to potentially focus on new projects or continue with their existing works.
